The Antiche Fornaci D'Agostino’s bricks were produced for the first railway tunnel in Italy, wanted by the Borboni kings. An important heritage which cannot be ignored, a wealth of technical knowledge, creative wisdom which, as now, the company draws liberally, paying attention to supporting materials on which is superimposed the range of glazes and ceramic colors. But not enough to have an history to have an identity. For this precise strategies the company interprets the past by seeking harmony between tradition and innovation, a creative space, using all the ceramic research.
The starting point of the current production is Magmaker® support in clay and Vesuvio’s vulcanic lava, made in different sizes, on which are applied glazes and colors that preserve that aspect of the typical artisan tradition of the Amalfi Coast.
